At Drive Safely, we believe every driver starts somewhere. Whether you're a nervous first-timer, a teen preparing for your license, or someone looking to improve your English through practical language skills, we offer patient, professional instruction tailored to your pace and goals.
Drive Safely has served the Harlan community and surrounding areas as a trusted driving and language school for years. Located at 1807 23rd St, we've helped hundreds of students gain the skills and confidence they need to drive independently and communicate effectively.
Our approach is simple: patient instruction, real-world practice, and a curriculum designed to meet you where you are. We understand that learning to drive — or learning a new language — can feel intimidating. That's why we take the time to make every lesson comfortable, practical, and rewarding.
From your very first time behind the wheel to advanced language proficiency, we have a program that fits your needs.
Whether you're 16 or 60, our comprehensive driving courses cover everything from basic vehicle control to advanced road safety. Our certified instructors guide you step by step, ensuring you're fully prepared for your driving test and for life on the road.
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) programs are built for practical, real-world communication. From everyday conversation to workplace English and driving-related vocabulary, our courses help you express yourself with clarity and confidence.
Need something more personalized? Our private lessons give you undivided attention from your instructor. Perfect for students who want to accelerate their progress, review specific skills, or learn at their own comfortable pace.

Real feedback from real learners who trusted us with their driving education.
I was terrified of driving — honestly, I almost didn't sign up. But the instructors at Drive Safely were so patient and encouraging. By the end of my lessons, I felt ready for my test, and I passed on the first try!
My daughter needed driving lessons before her 16th birthday, and Drive Safely made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They worked around our schedule and kept us informed every step of the way. Highly recommend!
The English classes here are fantastic. I started with almost no English, and now I can hold conversations and even helped my son with his driving test materials. The teachers are kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about your progress.
Don't wait another day to take control of your driving future. Whether you need behind-the-wheel lessons, English classes, or private instruction, Drive Safely is ready to help you succeed.
